Last updated: 23 September 2026
Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital courses, subscriptions and related professional resources offered through newsflowxi. The services covered include access to materials on studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting and sound waves, and workflows for television news and live shows. It governs transactions made by customers in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are processed and when refunds may be available.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Any Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling. The total amount shown at checkout includes the applicable rate of Value Added Tax. No hidden fees apply for standard access, although customers are responsible for any internet or device charges incurred when using the content. Promotional discounts are clearly marked before purchase and cannot be combined with other offers unless stated.
Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation and Payment Security
We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal and bank transfers. Payment is authorised at the time the order is placed. All transactions are secured using industry-standard encryption. newsflowxi does not store full card details. Any authorisation holds are released automatically if the transaction is not completed.
Order, Booking or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed
A contract is formed when you receive an email confirmation after completing payment. This confirmation contains details of the purchased course or subscription and access instructions. Until this confirmation is sent, no binding agreement exists.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel if you have not started accessing the digital content. Once you begin streaming or downloading material the cancellation right ends. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time to prevent future billing, but no partial refunds are provided for the current period.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items or Services
Refunds are available only where the course is faulty, not as described, or where we have failed to provide access. Digital content that has been accessed is non-refundable. Promotional or gift purchases are excluded from refund. Technical issues caused by the customer’s own equipment or connection do not qualify for refund.
The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund
To request a refund contact [email protected] or use the form on the Contacts page. Provide your order number, the email address used for purchase, and a clear reason. Requests must be made within 30 days of the transaction. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification of the Refund Decision
Our team reviews each request within 10 working days. You will be notified by email whether the refund is approved or rejected and the reasons for any rejection. If approved, the refund is processed immediately.
Refund Method, Processing Time and When Funds Should Reach the Customer
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Credit card refunds appear within 5 to 10 working days depending on the card issuer. PayPal refunds are usually completed within 3 working days. Bank transfers may take up to 7 working days.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services or Promotional Offers
Once digital content is accessed or downloaded the right to cancel ends. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Promotional trial periods convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends. No refunds are given for partially used subscription periods.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
If a payment fails you will be notified and given the opportunity to update your details. Duplicate charges are investigated and credited within 5 working days. Chargebacks are treated as refund requests and may result in loss of access. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account suspension and reporting to relevant authorities.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom That the Policy Cannot Exclude
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations or UK GDPR. You remain entitled to goods and services of satisfactory quality and to remedies where these rights are breached.
